7 Seconds Late began in late November 2001 with Michael Keith, Corey Phillips and two acoustic guitars. Michael and Corey had a few song writing sessions which produced the songs "#3", "Thank You", and "Your Love" all eventually becoming staples in the 7 Seconds Late live show.
Michael and Corey then approached Andy Duke to help out on lead guitar. Michael then picked up a bass guitar and Matt Thomas came in on drums to fill in the final piece of 7 Seconds Late.
On October 24 2003 7 Seconds Late released their 5 Song EP to a full house at Christ Fellowship. This would be one of the last shows Andy Duke played with 7 Seconds Late and as usual Christ Fellowship offered an amazing night.
In early 2004 Andy Duke left 7 Seconds Late to focus on school and follow the call of God. Andy now plays in the Christian rock band Cover The Earth.
In mid 2004 Philip Council joined the line up on lead guitar. The new line up played their first show together at the end of May to, once again, a packed house at Christ Fellowship. 7 Seconds Late then played the busiest fall they have seen since forming in 2001. New songs began to work their way into the set list including "Remember You", "I Love The Way", and "The Rain Jam".
In January 2005 Philip Council left 7 Seconds Late to focus on school and put more effort into his band AD Below. Wasting no time 7 Seconds Late entered the studio to record their long overdue full length album due out in the spring of 2005.
